WORTON CREEK RE-DESIGN
Kent County Maryland
Achieving the Owner's Goals
The original house had been built on the cheap, in the 1970's plywood siding, shed mode. The new Owners wanted to to improve the aestheticstake better advantage of the creek views and up-grade its energy performance. We explored several design strategies and the Owner settled on the one you see.
The Owner also decided to use the large south oriented roof as a solar collector of both electricity and heat.
